At FWZ, we have always believed that the MENA region deserves world-class esports experiences — not adaptations of them, but the real thing, built from the ground up, on home soil.
On the 22nd of May 2026, that belief was on full display at Hassan Mostafa Stadium in Cairo.
We were entrusted by Moonton — the global publisher behind one of the world’s most played mobile games, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang — to produce the MPL MENA Regional Finals 2026. It was the biggest MPL Regional Finals this region has ever seen. And it was ours to build, end to end.
To be trusted by a global publisher of this scale to deliver their regional flagship event, in front of thousands, broadcasting live to the world — is not something we take lightly. This is exactly what FWZ was built for.
End-to-End Production at the Highest Level
From the very first planning session to the final broadcast signal, every element of this event was handled by the FWZ team.
Stage design, lighting, audio, screen direction, branding, crowd management, live stream production — nothing was left to chance. A crew of more than 300 people worked behind the scenes to ensure that what the audience experienced felt effortless, electric, and worthy of the occasion.
The numbers reflect the scale: 9 simultaneous live broadcast streams across 6 platforms, reaching audiences around the world. A level of production complexity that doesn’t happen by accident.
Why Egypt Hosted the MPL MENA Regional Finals 2026
Egypt is home to the largest Mobile Legends: Bang Bang community in the MENA region. The fanbase here doesn’t just follow the game — they live it. Bringing the MPL Regional Finals to Cairo meant bringing it to the heart of where MLBB culture in the region actually lives.
Thousands of fans filled the arena on the night, fully present, fully electric — exactly the kind of crowd a finals of this magnitude deserves.
Geekay vs. Falcons: The Grand Final Breakdown
The competitive side of the night matched every bit of what surrounded it.
Geekay and Falcons met in a Grand Final that delivered everything the stage promised — momentum swings, clutch plays, and comebacks that had the arena on its feet. Seven games. Neither team is willing to yield. The kind of series where every match reset the narrative and every elimination felt like a turning point.
Geekay claimed the title 4-3 in a Grand Final that went the distance for a reason — a series that will be remembered long after the scoreline fades.
MPL MENA 2026 and the Future of Esports in the Region
This wasn’t just a milestone for FWZ. It was a statement about where the MENA esports scene stands today.
A global publisher chose this region to host their flagship regional finals. They chose Egypt as the venue. They chose FWZ to produce it. Each of those decisions reflects the growing credibility, infrastructure, and passion that MENA esports has built over the past decade.
We are proud to have been the team that brought it to life — and proud of what it signals for what comes next.
The MENA esports scene has a new benchmark. We helped set it.
